2025 SC4 Ceramics Summer Camp 2-day session (for learners in grades 6 - 8) - July 16
Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing with SC4 at Summer Clay Camp, a two-day ceramics experience designed for curious creators entering grades 5–8! Led by artist and SC4 professor Jacob Vinson, this hands-on camp introduces students to the dynamic world of ceramics—where art, science, and imagination collide. Campers will explore a variety of ceramic techniques, from hand-building textured mugs and painting tiles to getting their hands on the potter’s wheel. Along the way, they'll learn about kilns, glazing, and the fascinating transformation clay undergoes in the firing process. With plenty of studio time and a fun mix of demonstration, discussion, and making, each camper will come away with unique creations and a solid foundation in the ceramic arts. No experience necessary.
